寻之东五百里，岐海焉，缘海东，不知几千万里，有岛居焉。岛上有人，其名为兮，兮之人，传有宫室楼台，楼居山势之上，山居沧海之中，其山多铁，山形类北斗，而宫室居星位也。尝有远海之人见之，欲往，舟循大岛而行，见穴焉，穴中昏昧，舟人入穴，复行数百步，出焉。然但见云雾茫茫，莫知楼阁之所在也。其人归国，但云雾中隐隐金鼓之声不绝。此果海外神异之事也。
